    On the first day of our trip, we will drive over a scenic journey until Dhap. Following the road along the Sunkoshi river, further followed by Tamakoshi river, we will reach Ghurmi. We will take some rest at Ghurmi, relish in the traditional Nepalese cuisine in Ghurmi and continue our drive to Dhap Bazar. Then, driving for 3 hours through the dense rhododendron forests and typical settlements, we will reach Dhap Bazar. Further, we will start trekking until we reach Japre. It would take 4 hours to reach Japre from Dhap. Japre offers the panoramic Himalayan vista and, we can explore the Gompas and Stupas in the village. Overnight stay at Lodge. 

  • Day 02 :Trek from Japre to Pikey Base Camp 11,942 ft (3640 m) 6-7 hours

    After having early morning breakfast at Japre, we will continue our trek to Pikey peak base camp. Hiking over a bumpy road, we will confront the view of the early morning sun rays over the silver mountains turning themselves to golden. After the bumpy roads end, the trail moves uphill until we reach Bhulbhule. Further, following the steep trail through rhododendron forests, we will reach Lhamuje. Right after we leave Lhamuje, the trail opens up to reveal the pastures. We can notice yaks grazing over the pastures. Crossing the long Mani walls and continuing our trek over the winding trail, we finally reach Pikey base camp. Overnight stay at Pikey peak base camp.

  • Day 03 :Sunrise at Pikey Peak, Trek to Loding 8,251 ft (2515 m) 8-9 hours

    Today, we should reach Pikey peak before dawn to relish the sunrise view from Pikey peak. Hence, we will start our trek early in the morning and gradually ascend to the Pikey peak summit. The trail we follow today will be covered with prayer flags. From the summit, we can relish in the sunrise view over the Himalayas. We will confront the panoramic Himalayan scenery from Annapurna to Kanchenjunga. 

    Following the flat trail over the ridge, we will enter the forest to Jase Bhanjyang. The trail then steepens. At Jase Bhanjyang, we will have our breakfast and continue our trek until we reach Lodging. Overnight stay at Lodging.

  • Day 04 :Trek from Loding to Junbesi, Visit Thubtenchoeling Monastery 4-5 hours

    Early in the morning we will leave for Jase Bhyanjyang following the trail over ridgeline. After having breakfast at Jase Bhanjyang, we will continue our trek to Junbesi. The trail from Jase Bhanjyang leaves the ridge line shortly and steepens. We will descend down the steeply trail through the forest until Taktor. Trekking a couple of hours from Taktor, we will finally reach the village of Junebesi. Today we will visit Thubtenchoeling Monastery and observe the Tibetan tradition that flourishes around. Likewise, we might get the chance to relish in the Sherpa dance as well. Overnight stay at Junbesi. 

  • Day 05 :Trek from Junbesi to Taksindu 9711 ft (2960 m) 5-6 hours

    Today, we will continue our trek through the trail over the Taksindo La pass that leads us to Dudkoshi valley. Following the trail to Taksindu, we will cross the stream at the bottom of Junbesi and continue our trek through the forest until Sailung. Further, descending down to cross the stream, and a little ascend we will reach Ringmo, famous for local apples. From Ringmo, we will ascend up for a while, cross the Taksindo La pass and descend down to Taksindu village. Overnight stay at Taksindu. 

  • Day 06 :Trek from Taksindu to Phaplu, Visit Chiwong Monastery 8067 ft (2459 m) 5-6 hours

    Today, following the path through the forests we will hike up to Chiwong Monastery. The Monastery rests high on cliff, omitting the lowlands. Founded back in 1923, Mani Rimdu festival is observed in autumn season. After mild hiking for 4 hours and gradual ascend uphill for half an hour we will finally reach Phaplu.

    Phaplu is the small Sherpa settlement with airfield. We will stay overnight at Phaplu. 

  • Day 07 :Flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu 4593 ft (1400 m)

    Finally the day has come to bid a goodbye to the Himalayas and fly back to Kathmandu. It will be a half an hour flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu. If you have spare time after reaching Kathmandu, you can roam around the tourism hub in Thamel and we will have a farewell dinner at the evening at Thamel.
